Token
The token arrived in your wallet. The rights need a closer look.
01Dictionary Meaning
In blockchain systems, a token is a recorded digital unit that can represent value, access, governance rights or a claim, according to its design and terms.
02What People Think
"Owning the token means owning part of the project."
03What’s Underneath
A token might pay for a service, allow a vote, represent a redeemable claim or offer no right beyond transfer of the unit itself.
Those are different positions. A vote does not automatically include a share of profit. Access to a product does not automatically include ownership of the company building it.
Supply rules matter alongside rights. New issuance or the release of existing allocations can change the number of units available to trade and the relative influence of each holding.
04The Game
What can the holder claim or do, who must honor that right, and which rules can change after purchase?
05One Line
A token is a unit. Its rights are a separate sentence.
