DAO

Everyone can vote. Some wallets may bring far more votes.

01Dictionary Meaning

A DAO, or decentralized autonomous organization, coordinates a group using blockchain-based rules and shared governance, often to manage a treasury or protocol.

02What People Think

"It's an organization where everyone has an equal say."

03What’s Underneath

Some DAOs weight votes by token holdings. Others use different membership, delegation or approval arrangements. Open participation does not establish equal influence.

Proposals also require attention and expertise. A small active group can shape outcomes when most members do not vote. Separate administrators may retain powers to execute decisions or respond to emergencies.

Software can make certain rules visible and executable. It does not decide whether power is fairly distributed or whether the organization has a clear legal structure.

04The Game

Who proposes, who votes, who carries out the result, and what can each group do without the others?

05One Line

A public vote can still concentrate power in a few wallets.
