FUD
Calling a warning "FUD" does not tell you whether it is true.
01Dictionary Meaning
FUD stands for fear, uncertainty and doubt. In markets, it can describe negative sentiment or be used to dismiss claims seen as damaging to an asset.

03What’s Underneath
A rumor, a documented defect and a reasonable unanswered question can all receive the same label. Their evidence is not the same.
A holder has a financial reason to resist information that could lower the price. A critic may have incentives too. Neither position settles whether the claim is accurate.
When discussion becomes a test of loyalty, the group can lose the ability to distinguish malicious noise from information it needs. Confidence then depends on keeping questions out.
